Oil on oak panel. Artwork dimensions are 28” X 19”. Mahogany frame handmade by the artist, outside dimensions are 33” X 24”.

This oil painting was painted at “the bend” by the famous Jaw’s bridge, but facing inward toward Sengekontacket pond. I love the marshes here with this little strip of peninsula where these trees can grow. I was trying to create the feeling of plush, carpeted shapes of marsh grass floating on the mirrored surface of the pond’s still waters. How’d I do?

The frame is a handmade traditional oak frame with a grey stain. The smooth and groovy lines of the grain felt like a perfect compliment to the composition.
